I love these bright colors mixed with the tribal geometric patterns. I'm not sure what it is about simple lines and triangles forming connected shapes, but I've always liked this sort of thing. How about you? However, when I think about it, I don't actually own anything with a geometric pattern on it. Hmmm. Perhaps it's my inner mathematician that is drawn to geometry (who am I kidding, that doesn't exist.. but did you catch that pun? hah). Or rather, I'll just stick to the "inner scientist" since there is ample evidence of geometry in nature (Fibonacci anyone?)
What's your take on the geometric? Fashion fab soon to fade? Artistic and classic? Just a bunch of colored lines and shapes? :) I'd love to hear your opinion and if and how you style geometry!

Saludos,

YES! I love these, especially the last one. I'm always drawn to geometric images, grids, and chevrons. I upholstered my headboard in a geometric pattern that looks vaguely like books, My living room rug is a geometric color block print. Even my furniture is all hard, square lines@ I'm making an effort to add more rounded, feminine lines and textiles that aren't geometric, and it's hard! I keep gravitating toward those awesome chevrons. *sigh*

I saw your headboard!! Lovely DIY!! how fun!
DeleteI totally understand. It's like Earth itself. All these little pretty shapes connect themselves together to form something so amazingly beautiful. And they come in earring form. Nice.
ReplyDeleteI know~ I love to wear nature whenever I can :)
