Hello to a brand new month! Thanks to everyone who helped me celebrate the blogiversary month in August, I appreciate your readership and support more than you could ever imagine! As promised, here is part one of some snapshots from my trip back home. I love Texas mornings. They are so peaceful and still. When I first arrived, I would accidentally wake up at 6 AM every morning, because for me it was already 7AM. The sunrises are always beautiful, and they come up right in front of my bedroom window. So, I would sneak outside with my camera and wander around taking photos of East Texas waking up to another gorgeous hot day. I don't know what it is about summer, but the spiders are always seriously busy and abundantly taking over any branch or twig low enough to support a massive web. Naturally, I encountered all of them while trekking around my front yard in my pajamas.
I love the flowers around my house - the crepe myrtles in bloom, the roses and the hibiscus. I wish I could have been a few months earlier to catch my favorite - the gardenia. My mother always says "I love gardenias, I don't care that they are funeral flowers". I had never known/heard that before until she said this, because I had never before considered gardenias as such. Are they always at funerals? Anyways, I love how the sunlight breaks through the flowers. Such a dreamy setting.
Do you prefer sunrises or sunsets?
