Hello there, friend. Welcome to my blog. My name is Chelsea and I'm a marine scientist living and studying in the beautiful Caribbean island of Puerto Rico. I'm originally from the Lone Star State of Texas, born and raised on a small, quiet cattle ranch where I fell in love with the outdoors. However, my passion was with the ocean, so I uprooted to Florida where I lived for five years before continuing my graduate education here in Puerto Rico. I'm a follower of Christ and I love drinking tea, vintage shops, curiosities, dabbling with basic homesteading and learning to live a more sustainable life.
I spend the majority of my time outside, diving in the beautiful blue waters of the Caribbean or hiking through the jungle and fields of the interior island. I love to explore and collect.
I live with my marine scientist boyfriend, Evan, and my little adventurous dog, Sophie. We both enjoy traveling, experiencing new cultures and sharing our love for the outdoors.
This blog is my expression of all things sea, field and tribe. Each has a particular meaning to me that I desire to share with you. The sea represents my love for the ocean and my calling to protect and study marine life. The field encompasses my desire to live outdoors and experience all that nature is through exploring, wandering and cultivating. And tribe is literally my tribe: family, friends and those I love who support me in all that I do.
So thanks for your visit! I do hope you check out all the features of this blog and return often to see what exciting and inspiring things I'm curating for you. If you are interested in following my travels and experiences living in Puerto Rico, please read my personal blog here.
